Project Summary for
Booker Testamentary Trust Remedial Soil Excavation, Bioremediation
Owner: Booker Testamentary Trust
Location: Jamestown, California
Project Description:
Gasoline and diesel range contaminants were discovered during the
removal of three UST’s. American Geological Services de
veloped
a work plan to conduct a remedial excavation of the impacted soil
and fractured bedrock. Two phases of excavation were conducted at
the site. The total volume of the two excavations was approximately
2,200 cubic yards. Upon completion of the remedial excavation, a bioremediation
program was implemented. Water and nutrients were added to the soil
and disced in. The soil was monitored on a weekly basis to ensure
project success. Confirmation sampling indicated low to non detectable
levels of hydrocarbons and the soil was permitted to be hauled off-site
for use as clean fill material. No further soil or ground water actions
are required at this site.
