Wu La Ka Gold Mine Audit Of Operations

Location: Heilonjiang Province, People's Republic of China

Project Description:
China's largest gold mine Representatives of American Geological Services visited China's largest gold mine, the Wu La Ka mine, in northern Heilonjiang Province, near the Russian border. An audit of milling, mining and prospecting operations at the mine and milling facility was carried out. Environmental impacts of the current operations were assessed. As a result of this audit, specific recommendations were made to improve mill recovery of gold values. In addition, a program of exploration for additional ore bodies was conceived and specific recommendations were made to implement this program.
