Representative GORE™ Survey Project List
The following are brief synopses of several completed
projects that represent only a fraction of the work performed by our
professionals. AGS offers services for a wide range of
environmental, geological, and natural resource needs. We employ a
core staff of highly qualified professionals and we can also draw on
a network of affiliated expert specialists and independent
consultants. The structure of AGS is such that we can provide access
to a large body of diversified professional expertise, knowledge,
and experience which would normally only be available through a
larger consulting firm with a much higher overhead.
Anigua Heritage Exxon Service Station,
Territory
of Guam
- AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Anigua Heritage Exxon Service
Station for ExxonMobil International Holdings, Inc. The survey was
conducted to initially characterize potential property impacts, as
well as determine the location of additional proposed soil borings
and groundwater monitoring wells.
Agana
Heritage Exxon Service Station,
Territory
of Guam - AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the
Agana Heritage Exxon Service Station for ExxonMobil International
Holdings, Inc. The survey was conducted to initially characterize
potential property impacts, as well as determine the location of
additional proposed soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.
Cabras Heritage Exxon Bulkplant Terminal and Service
Station, Cabras
Island, Territory of Guam
- AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Airport Heritage Exxon
Service Station for ExxonMobil International Holdings, Inc. The
survey was conducted to initially characterize potential property
impacts, as well as determine the location of additional proposed
soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.
Merizo Mobil Service Station,
Territory
of Guam
- AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Merizo Mobil Service Station
for Mobil Oil Guam, Inc. The survey was conducted to determine the
placement of additional proposed soil borings and groundwater
monitoring wells at the site. The results of the survey also
discovered the presence of an unknown UST located at the site.
Merizo-Cocos Boat Launch,
Territory
of Guam -
AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Merizo-Cocos Boat Launch for
Mobil Oil Guam, Inc. The survey was conducted to determine the
placement of additional proposed soil borings and groundwater
monitoring wells located at the Site. The survey also
determined the estimated excavation boundaries for the removal of
250 cubic yards of petroleum impacted soil from the site.
Marianas Cleaners Dry Cleaning Facility,
Saipan
Island, CNMI -
AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey to delineate TCE & PCE contamination
located at the Marianas Cleaners Dry Cleaning Facility. The survey
also determined the location of the proposed groundwater recovery
well for an activated carbon remediation system, which was
subsequently installed on the interior of the site building.
Mariposa-Yosemite Airport, Mariposa County, California
- AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Mariposa-Yosemite Airport for the Mariposa County
Department of Public Works. The survey was performed to identify
potential preferential pathways for petroleum migration in a
fractured bedrock environment. Based on the work, ground water
monitoring wells were placed to monitor the groundwater contaminant
plume.
Mariposa Sheriff's Office, California - AGS
conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Mariposa-Sheriff’s office for the
Mariposa County Department of Public Works. The survey was performed
to identify potential preferential pathways for petroleum migration
in a fractured bedrock environment. The survey determined
that the plume was very limited and additional investigation
activities that had been proposed were cancelled saving the client
tens of thousands of dollars. After a brief remedial effort,
the case was closed.
Ben Hur Road Yard Mariposa County, California - AGS conducted
a Gore™ Survey of the Ben Hur Road Yard for the Mariposa County
Department of Public Works. The survey was conducted to determine
the source of petroleum that had impacted the on-site water supply
well. As a result of the survey, an off-site responsible party was
identified and further investigation and remediation activities were
transferred to the off-site source.
Yosemite Junction Mini Mart, Jamestown,
California- AGS conducted
a Gore™ Survey to determine the
extent of soil and ground water contamination caused by leaking
underground fuel tank. The survey was able to identify a secondary
area of impact and allowed the remedial effort to target both areas
of impact.
Sierra Launders, Sonora, California- AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the
former Sierra Launders site in
Sonora, California. The survey was
performed to identify potential preferential pathways for TCE and
PCE migration in a fractured bedrock environment adjacent to a
creek. The survey was able to identify the plume
boundaries for future remedial efforts.

Benites Distributing,
Sonora,
California -
AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Benites Distributing site in
Sonora,
California. The survey identified
the boundaries of a petroleum plume and enabled the placement of a
limited number of ground water extraction wells for remediation
work.
Tuolumne Chevron,
Tuolumne,
California -
AGS conducted a Gore™ Survey of the Tuolumne Chevron site in Tuolumne,
California. The survey indicated a secondary
source at the site and allowed for the remedial effort to include
the impacted soils without extensive soil boring installation.
